House sitting at a place without Internet you can figure out how to use feels liberating. Except the inconvenience of blogging from a phone (but really - how amazing is that?), it's nice to have one less distraction. Also, the cable here doesn't have an onscreen guide so all I can do is flip through channels. It's like being without caller ID. I ( Read more... )

Today ended up being a two pizza day with leftovers. I went in earlier than scheduled this morning/afternoon to catch the monthly staff meeting. It's been at least three months since I've been to one and since I was hungry when I woke up I figured a free lunch was worthwhile.

One more Broadway run is complete for me. Million Dollar Quarter may have been the easiest run in my tenure so far.

Tomorrow, if it doesn't rain, will finally be a proper riding day. If there's drizzle in the morning, it could turn into a proper rest day, like I've been craving. I'd rather it be a ride day.

Unscheduled days off can be a godsend. I slept in today the woke up to watch a bunch of TV. Although Mad Men has already had its season 5 premiere, I'm still playing catch up on season 4. Today was a good day for progress, and I'm now half way through it, that much closer to watching live episodes.

Saw Adam Carolla at the Moore tonight-sold out show, with Alisher and company. Hanging with them now and it's probably going to last a bit longer.

Thought of the day: hot dog belches are nasty. I keep getting room-clearing garlic emanating from my mouth. Ewww.

It was a short day at work today. I started at 11:30 and ended at 4:30. On days before holidays, we usually close shop early, around 2 or 3pm. That was mostly true today too, but because Monday is the Presidents' Day holiday and we open a Broadway week on Tuesday, there were some things that had to get done.

Today's show was a sold out Wilco performance, with loads of different guest lists, label lists, and promoter lists. We had a beefed up box office staff for all the extra distribution and although things could have really gone awry, everything went off without a hitch.
